Terms and Conditions
Consultations
I am more than happy to visit
you in your home (up to 30mile radius of my location,) or you
can come to my location. An appointment can be made for you to
view samples of my work or talk about a bespoke design personal
to you and your requirements.
Samples
I am happy to provide samples
of Day and Evening Invitations, Order of Service, Order of the
Day, menu cards, camera cards, reply cards, thank you cards,
name cards, save the date cards and to make up a maximum of 6
samples free of charge. If you require further samples a charge
of £2.00 per item will be made. This amount will be deducted
off the final order.
Table plans will be in the form
of a sample card showing design.
Please be aware that all The
Finishing Touch designs are copyright to The Finishing Touch and
samples must not be copied in part or whole under any
circumstances. Legal action will be taken if copyright laws are
abused.
Once the confirmation form is
signed you are allowing The Finishing Touch to create your
chosen items based on the sample and chosen design.
Occasionally alternative materials have to be sourced due to
discontinuation etc. The Finishing Touch will endeavour to
match materials as close to the samples as possible. Should it
be necessary to change material the client will be notified
before production commences.
Payment
A 25% deposit is required when
placing a stationery order. This deposit is non-refundable.
With respect to save the date cards, day and evening
invitations, order of service, order of the day and reply cards
full payment is required with the initial order.
Further stationery e.g. table
plans, favour etc. payment is required one week prior to the
event. Please note that with out this settlement payment the
order will not be completed.
Please bear in mind that when
an order is placed and quantities are confirmed the materials
for its creation will be obtained. If the client changes the
order to a lesser amount excess materials from the original
order will be charged for.
Payment can be made in the form
of a cheque made payable to
S Poligne.
Prices quoted via email, phone
or post a valid for 60 days.
Stationery proofs
Proofs are prepared to enable
the client to modify where needed and to check for mistakes,
both yours and mine. Proof reading is the responsibility of
the client. Please check that the proof meets with your
requirements by checking it very carefully. Unfortunately I
cannot be responsible if you do not indicate errors at this
stage. Once the proof has been approved you are liable for
correcting the mistakes. A
charge may be incurred if at this stage you choose to change
design or wording if work has already commenced.
The Finishing Touch cannot be
held responsible for any errors that go unnoticed after the
proofs have been approved or for gaining copyright permission
for the use of hymns and readings used in the Order of Service. Hymns
and readings are
used at the client’s discretion.
All amendments must be
highlighted clearly on the proof.
Production
The Finishing Touch stationery
is handmade and therefore slight variations are inevitable.
These are not faults.
The production of save the date
cards, day and evening invitations, order of service, order of
the day and reply cards will only commence once full payment has
been cleared.
I will do my up most to work
with the client’s time scale and have work completed on time.
Obtaining
your items
I am more than happy for you to collect your
completed stationery and accessories from us and we will
telephone you when ready for collection. Alternatively, if you require
us to take to a venue and place the name cards, menus, favours
etc. on your behalf on your reception tables, a charge of
£40.00 is made (venues with in a distance of 35miles from
Stourport). Further distance please add £5.00 per ten miles
travel.
If you are unable to collect
stationery and wish for items to be delivered a courier service
is always used and is available to UK addresses only. Price is
on application.
Copyright
All copyright for our designs
belong to The Finishing Touch. This includes the design, any
slight variation to the design and a bespoke design created for
our client together with the final product themselves. Abusers
of the copyright law will be prosecuted
Safety
Some of the designs produced by
The Finishing Touch are made up of small parts, please be aware
that they may not be suitable for small children.
Returns/cancellation and
refunds
The Finishing Touch will not
refund or exchange goods unless they are faulty and work will
not recommence until all items are returned in their entirety.
In the event of cancellation
The Finishing Touch will retain the 25% deposit. If work has
begun I reserve the right to retain all monies paid to me.
Because The Finishing Touch
makes all items to order they cannot be returned. This does
not affect your statutory rights.
On signing
the Order form you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
